I thought I would keep you all up to date with what has been happening in Violets Attic and boy have we been busy bees! One of our crazy fun days was at the beginning of November when we were asked if we would like to take part in a vintage music and fashion show, by doing the make-up for the models and of course we said yes!
Sinead went along to the Black Box where the show was being held to meet up with Anna-Marie for Pin.Up Belfast, who had organised the event to showcase her beautiful clothes along side other retro clothes shops. The style of the clothes were inspired from the 60′s which meant that Sinead could have lots of fun creating a gorgeous 60′s look for each model.
Sinead looked a icons such as twiggy and the typical look of the 60′s was all about the eyes. Ladies wore dramatic eyes, with a lot of mascara, applying sometimes 3 coats or false eyelashes. They wore coloured or dark eyeshadow following the socket line of the eye to give that curved, downward look. Eyeliner was used darken and define and shape of the eyes while the lips were left nude, just a soft shine so that all the attention was drawn to the eye area.
The show was fantastic, it had a great turn out and everyone did an amazing job. Sinead got to meet some wonderful new people and hopefully she will get the chance to work with again in the future.
If you want to take a look at the photos we have posted up pictures of the show on our Facebook page www.facebook.com
